Westerville, OH (January 18, 2011) – AccountingWEB, the leading online community for accountants, has completed a recent survey to gain insight on what accounting professionals think the economy holds for them in 2011. Ninety-two percent of the AccountingWEB audience had a positive outlook regarding economic expansion in the coming year, while only 8 percent said economic conditions would worsen in 2011.

Half (50 percent) believe that the economy will improve slightly. Twenty percent of readers who responded think that there will be little change from current conditions. Eight percent of respondents had a negative outlook for 2011 economic conditions – 3 percent think the economy will worsen slightly, and 5 percent believe that conditions will worsen significantly.
